Nisshin OilliO invests in Shikomel under food-service partnership
The companies will combine ingredients and processing expertise with Shikomel’s prepared-food platform to develop products and services for food businesses.
Shikomel Food Tech has received an investment from Nisshin OilliO Group under a capital and business partnership announced on August 27, 2026. The investment amount was not disclosed.
Building the next stage
The companies plan to combine Nisshin OilliO’s food ingredients, oils and processing expertise with Shikomel’s platform for outsourced meal preparation. Their aim is to develop products and services that address labour shortages, higher costs and other operating pressures across the food industry.
Shikomel’s OEM service connects restaurants’ recipes with partner food factories, while its store supplies prepared products that businesses can order without carrying out the original preparation in-house.
Nisshin OilliO said its decision reflected the role Shikomel’s model could play in changing restaurant operations and reducing food waste. The partnership gives the companies a basis for joint development as well as a financial relationship.
