Moving preparation out of the kitchen
Shikomel connects restaurants and other food providers with factories that prepare dishes to the customer’s recipes. Its Shikomel OEM service aims to reproduce the intended taste and appearance, with finished products ordered through an app.
The Shikomel Store offers prepared products that food businesses can purchase without carrying out the original preparation themselves. These services help operators organize purchasing and kitchen work around externally prepared items.

Founded in December 2019 and based in Shibuya, Tokyo, the company is led by Suguru Kawamoto. It is developing its platform as food businesses face labour shortages, higher costs and pressure to reduce waste.
