JawBuddy raises €818,000 for clinical research and reimbursement plans

HALBZEIT leads pre-seed backing for the Leipzig jaw-health software company; the total includes a public grant.

JawBuddy has raised €818,000 in a pre-seed financing package led by healthcare investment platform HALBZEIT. The total includes the Business Angel Bonus from Sächsische Aufbaubank, alongside private investment.

Other backers include Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen, dental specialist Siegfried Marquardt, surgeon Guido Sigron and angels Christophe Barriolade, Aldrich Huang, Jens Kosche and Marc Scheidegger. The company did not disclose the split between private investment and the public grant.

Founded in 2025 by Leon Rauch, Moritz Scherer and Benjamín Cádiz de Gracia, the Leipzig company develops guided routines for jaw tension, teeth grinding and related discomfort. Its consumer lifestyle app is distinct from JawBuddy Therapy, its forthcoming Class I medical-device product.

The capital will fund clinical efficacy research and preparations for health-insurer reimbursement. JawBuddy plans a multicentre randomised controlled trial with 130 patients starting in December 2026 and is negotiating a care contract with a statutory health insurer.
