1nhaler secures £2.2 million for cardboard inhaler development

Archangels led the follow-on funding, with Scottish Enterprise and BBB Investments participating.

1nhaler has raised £2.2 million to advance its single-dose dry powder inhaler towards clinical testing and regulatory approval. Archangels led the round, supported by Scottish Enterprise and BBB Investments.

The Edinburgh company will transfer its salbutamol product into contract manufacturing to produce clinical trial material and undertake a small clinical study. It is targeting a regulatory filing in late 2027.

The predominantly cardboard device folds flat before use and opens into an inhaler. Funding will also support a manufacturing engineering study and discussions with potential commercial partners.
