Esonitro raises nearly ¥100m for movable neural electrodes
Shunwei Capital led the Angel+ financing as the Shenzhen company develops its NeuroWorm brain-computer interface technology.
The investment
Esonitro, the brain-computer interface company also known as Junrou Technology, has completed an Angel+ round of nearly 100 million yuan. Shunwei Capital led the financing, with GL Ventures, AGIBOT and Nansha Qisheng among the participants.
The Shenzhen company is developing flexible electrodes that can be moved after implantation. Its NeuroWorm approach uses magnetic control to reposition the electrode, with the aim of supporting access to different brain regions through a single implantation. The technology remains in development.
Founded in 2025 by a team led by Professor Liu Zhiyuan, Esonitro works across materials, electrode fabrication and neural signal algorithms. Its flexible sensing platform also extends to tactile sensing for robotics. The round supports the manufacturing and preclinical steps needed to move the brain-computer interface work towards practical use.
