Quadlytics raises ¥600m Series B for epilepsy-warning technology
Five named funds back equity and convertible financing for heart-rate analysis, clinical development and international expansion.
Quadlytics has raised ¥600 million in a Series B round through a combination of new shares and convertible bonds. JP LIFE NEXT 1 Fund led the financing, joined by Samurai Growth Fund 1, NextG Fund, XTech Fund 3 and OLtV Opportunity Fund.
The Kyoto company is developing a seizure-warning system that monitors heart-rate variability through a wearable electrocardiograph. Its software combines changes in autonomic activity with anomaly-detection algorithms to identify signs that may precede an epileptic seizure.
The capital will support research and development, clinical work and international expansion, alongside stronger quality, regulatory, intellectual-property and business-development capabilities. The product remains in development and has not received approval under Japan’s medical-device law.
Quadlytics is working with clinical partners in Australia and targeting a local launch in 2028. The Series B brings cumulative financing, including earlier funding and bank borrowing, to ¥1.32 billion; the new round itself is ¥600 million.
