Helium Health Foundation advances maternal AI rollout with Google.org grant
A USD2.5 million grant supports HeliumMum in four Nigerian states.
Helium Health confirmed Google.org funding for its maternal healthcare programme on November 4, 2026. TechCabal reports a USD2.5 million grant. Google.org identifies Helium Health Foundation as the recipient, linking to its HeliumMum initiative.
The programme will deploy AI tools for pregnancy risk identification and clinical decision support in Lagos, Delta, Kano and Oyo, starting from Lagos. Its stated goal is to reach an additional 1.9 million women over three years. The foundation also receives technical support through a Google.org accelerator.
The November announcement presents the funding confirmation and implementation roadmap after the programme’s earlier cohort selection. The support is a grant to the foundation’s programme.
