Novak Djokovic invests in waterdrop and becomes global ambassador

The tennis player joins the Austrian drinks company through a personal investment and a long-term brand partnership.

Novak Djokovic joined waterdrop as an investor and global ambassador on January 17, 2023. The company described his contribution as a significant seven-figure investment without specifying an exact amount. The partnership brought the tennis player into the business as a shareholder as well as a public face of the brand.

The Vienna-founded company makes small cubes that dissolve in water, alongside reusable bottles. Djokovic’s involvement accompanied its expansion into sports hydration through Microlyte, an electrolyte product aimed at physically active consumers. Waterdrop also worked with tennis players Danielle Collins and Taylor Fritz as brand ambassadors.
