Sava raises $19 million Series A to advance its glucose microsensor

Balderton Capital and Pentland Ventures co-led the financing for manufacturing, clinical validation and regulatory approval.

Sava Technologies announced a $19 million Series A on July 31, 2025, following early clinical results for its wearable glucose microsensor. Balderton Capital and Pentland Ventures led the round.

Norrsken VC, JamJar Investments, True, Italian Founders Fund, Athletico Ventures, SOLO Investments and Exceptional Ventures also participated.

The London company plans to expand its team and automated manufacturing capabilities while pursuing further clinical validation and regulatory clearance.

Sava reported that the first 25 participants in an independent trial produced glucose readings for up to ten days of wear. The sensor remained an experimental device requiring regulatory approval before commercial availability.
