Docterz raises ₹5 crore with doctor customers contributing nearly 60%

Vineeta Singh and Avnish Anand join clinicians backing the Indian practice software company.

Docterz raised ₹5 crore from approximately 35 investors in a round announced on 29 October 2026. Around 20 doctors who use its software contributed nearly ₹3 crore of that total. Other participants include SUGAR Cosmetics co-founder Vineeta Singh and CaratLane co-founder Avnish Anand.

Founded by paediatrician Dr Atish Laddad, Docterz combines electronic medical records, appointments, billing, vaccination management and patient engagement. It says its platform supports more than 5,000 doctors across India, with a strong base in paediatrics.

The funding will support organic expansion, potential acquisitions and AI tools for doctors. The company is developing features for clinical documentation, administrative work, practice data analysis and patient follow-ups.
