Fronted raises NOK18m seed round for international employment platform

Kaknäs Invest leads the round, joined by Skagerak Capital and returning backers Antler and Sondo.

Norwegian HRtech company Fronted has raised NOK18 million in seed funding, reported as approximately €1.7 million. The round brings Swedish investment firm Kaknäs Invest into a syndicate that also includes Skagerak Capital, Antler, Sondo and new angel investors.

Fronted combines recruitment, Employer of Record services and company-entity management so businesses can hire and operate across borders through one provider. Its software handles payroll calculations, tax reconciliations and employment contracts alongside local employment requirements.

Founded by Marius Blaker Høgevold and Hans Nyvold Kjellby, the company is addressing the administrative burden of using separate hiring, payroll and compliance providers in each market. Its expansion plan includes extending operational infrastructure to 70 countries.
