Sava Technologies develops wearable microsensors for continuous monitoring of molecules beneath the skin, starting with glucose.
Product
Sava Technologies develops a wearable biosensor platform for continuously measuring molecules in interstitial fluid. Its first application is glucose monitoring, using a microsensor designed to be substantially shorter than the filaments in conventional devices.
The London company was founded in 2019 by Imperial College London bioengineers Renato Circi and Rafaël Michali. It is scaling manufacturing and preparing clinical and regulatory work, with Ascensia Diabetes Care appointed as its initial European commercialisation and distribution partner. The device remains investigational, and launch depends on regulatory approval.
