Sava raises $36m Series B and partners with Ascensia

The London microsensor developer will scale manufacturing and prepare its first glucose-monitoring product for commercialisation.

Sava Technologies announced a $36 million Series B on 9 October 2026, led by Ascensia Diabetes Care. Balderton Capital, Norrsken VC, Simplyhealth Ventures, JamJar Investments and Pentland Ventures also participated. The round brings total funding to $68 million.

Alongside the financing, Sava appointed Ascensia as its commercialisation and distribution partner, initially in Europe. Sava’s wearable microsensor is designed to monitor molecules beneath the skin continuously, starting with glucose.

The capital will fund manufacturing scale-up and commercial readiness. The company plans a pivotal clinical study and is targeting CE approval for use in insulin-dosing decisions without routine fingerstick confirmation. The device remains investigational; European launch with Ascensia depends on regulatory approval.
