Ubitium raises $3.7M seed for a universal RISC-V processor
Runa Capital, Inflection and KBC Focus Fund NV co-lead the semiconductor startup’s initial seed financing.
Ubitium announced $3.7 million in seed funding on November 21, 2024, co-led by Runa Capital, Inflection and KBC Focus Fund NV. The German semiconductor startup was developing a universal RISC-V processor intended to handle different computing workloads on one chip.
Its approach targets embedded systems that otherwise rely on combinations of specialised processors. Ubitium aims to simplify hardware design and make AI workloads available within the same architecture used for other computing tasks. The funding supported development of that processor technology.
