Skaaltec was selected for Level 2 of the Future of Health Grant in the spring cohort announced on March 5, 2026. A previous Level 1 participant, the Swiss startup receives further equity-free support and practical guidance. Its individual allocation was not disclosed.
The company develops SmartVNS, a wearable neurostimulation system for stroke rehabilitation research. It pairs movement with vagus nerve stimulation and is being developed for therapy that can extend into daily life.
Programme support provides healthcare expertise and potential pilot connections as Skaaltec advances its investigational system. The selection is a development milestone for a device still undergoing validation.
