Rise of Fearless raises $1m SAFE to upgrade and relaunch its game
Epic Edges Capital backs the African-inspired battle royale as founder Kanessa Muluneh recruits specialist gaming partners.
Rise of Fearless has raised $1 million through a simple agreement for future equity from Epic Edges Capital. The financing supports a technical upgrade and planned relaunch of the mobile battle royale game.
Founder Kanessa Muluneh is bringing in specialists covering publishing, creative direction, market research and development. Miniboss Solutions, Trick Question Studios, IDG Intelligence and Spectra Entertainment are service providers; they do not hold equity or earn royalties from the game.
Building towards a larger audience
The game launched in 2025 and has passed 15,000 downloads. Its setting draws on Ethiopia’s Battle of Adwa, placing African history and identity within a competitive multiplayer format.
Muluneh’s near-term target is 100,000 players. The business currently earns advertising revenue, while limited access to online payments in several markets complicates plans for player purchases.
The first external capital to put to work
Muluneh told TechCabal that an earlier $700,000 arrangement fell through without usable proceeds. That abandoned proposal is separate from the new $1 million SAFE.
The fresh financing gives the team resources for game development, infrastructure, marketing and community building as it prepares the relaunch.
