ONSOH receives convertible bond investment from Funds Venture Debt Fund 2
The Japanese microalgae biotechnology company will strengthen research, sales and partnerships for livestock and aquaculture feed ingredients.
ONSOH has received a convertible bond investment from Funds Venture Debt Fund 2, managed by Funds Startups. The fund manager announced the completed investment on 6 November 2026; the amount was not disclosed.
The financing will support research and development, the sales organisation, domestic adoption and work with overseas partners. ONSOH develops RG92, a material derived from microalgae originating in Beppu’s hot springs, for livestock and aquaculture feed applications.
Funds Startups described the transaction as its first provision of capital through convertible bonds. The instrument adds financing for a business working to move research into commercial use while limiting immediate equity dilution.
