Alethio Therapeutics raises $90 million Series A for targeted blood cancer treatments

Sofinnova Partners and RA Capital Management co-lead financing to take ATX-011 toward clinical studies and advance additional programmes.

Alethio Therapeutics has completed an oversubscribed $90 million (£67 million) Series A, announced on 5 November 2026. New investors Sofinnova Partners and RA Capital Management co-led the round, with founding investor Oxford Science Enterprises and support from Cancer Research Horizons and the University of Oxford.

The financing will fund Phase 1/2a studies of ATX-011 in essential thrombocythaemia and advance additional programmes for myeloproliferative neoplasms toward regulatory submissions to begin trials. ATX-011 is an investigational antibody targeting G6B, which Alethio is developing to act on cells implicated in these blood cancers.

Sofinnova’s Graziano Seghezzi and RA Capital’s Maxwell DeNies have joined the board. The Oxford spin-out was founded by researchers Adam Mead and Beth Psaila.
