iSAGEBOT raises Pre-B funding to expand multi-arm industrial robotics
The Shanghai robot maker plans to develop its industrial world model, update its robot hardware and expand factory capacity.
iSAGEBOT has completed a Pre-B financing round worth several hundred million yuan, according to a November 3 report by 36Kr. JIC Investment Co., Ltd., Nantong Investment Management and Yunqi Partners participated. The company did not disclose an exact amount.
The capital will support development of its industrial world model, further iterations of its multi-arm robots, production-line expansion and international sales. Founder and CEO Zhang Jianzheng told 36Kr that the company’s Shanghai factory was at capacity and that it planned to expand its premises to roughly four times their current size over three years.
The company is targeting tasks that require several coordinated actions in a confined production space. Its six-arm robot can work across adjacent production stations, while its SageNexus model combines industrial data and physical checks to plan actions. Zhang said the company was expanding in Southeast Asia and securing orders in Europe.
