Hiten wins consortium grant for long-life hot-working dies
The project uses a nickel-based alloy to improve die performance at high temperatures.
Hiten has been selected for The Senshu Ikeda Bank, Ltd.’s 14th Consortium Research and Development Grant programme, announced on February 27, 2018. Its individual grant amount was not disclosed.
The project develops long-life dies for hot working using a nickel-based alloy with high-temperature strength. Osaka Prefecture University is the collaborating institution.
Hiten designs and manufactures cold- and hot-forging dies and related tooling. The research targets durability under the demanding temperatures used to shape metal parts.
