PaperFoam secures €2 million loan for international packaging production
Invest International will finance Czech capacity expansion and working capital for PaperFoam’s factories in Malaysia and the United States.
PaperFoam has secured a €2 million loan from Invest International to expand its production facility in the Czech Republic and provide working capital for plants in Malaysia and the United States. The lender announced the financing on October 29, 2026.
The Barneveld-based manufacturer uses starch, natural fibres and a patented foaming process to produce lightweight protective packaging. Its materials serve customers in beauty, consumer products and medical equipment, offering a compostable alternative to conventional plastic packaging.
Invest International has supported PaperFoam since its first Czech expansion in 2020. The new financing addresses a growth stage that conventional lenders still consider risky, according to the lender. The expansion also uses production equipment from Dutch suppliers Kuyer Metaal and Shuffle-Mix.
