hansetherm announces €10m seed to expand heat pump installation
The Hamburg energy company will expand its team, software and installation capacity, with backing from G-FUND, Optima Aegidius Group and its founders.
Capital for a larger installation network
hansetherm announced a €10 million seed financing on 22 October. The round was signed in April and closed in May. Investors include G-FUND, Optima Aegidius Group and founders Leon Thomsen and Konstantin Lennertz, who also committed personal capital.
The funding will support hiring, software development and additional installation capacity. Scaling the business requires both project coordination and the trade teams that carry out work in customers’ homes.
Building beyond the heating upgrade
Heat pump projects give hansetherm a continuing relationship with homeowners. The company plans to add solar installations, batteries and air conditioning, alongside an app intended to coordinate household energy use. This would extend its services beyond the initial replacement of a heating system.
