Acecore wins $10,000 equity-free prize at Moonshot
The Nigerian solar-tech startup took the top TC Battlefield award for its locally manufactured battery systems.
Acecore won the $10,000 grand prize at TC Battlefield, the startup pitching competition at Moonshot 2026 in Lagos. The award is equity-free funding.
Acecore builds Powercell solar battery systems locally and pairs them with its Powercore application. Users can monitor energy performance and manage their power supply, addressing the practical problem of unreliable electricity.
The competition is organised by TechCabal and was sponsored this year by Yango Group. Ten finalists pitched at the event, with three cash prizes totalling $17,500.
