FUNNOW Group received backing from Ascendo Genesis Fund

A March 2020 investor interview disclosed the booking platform among the fund’s investments.

FUNNOW Group received an investment from Ascendo Genesis Fund, according to a March 6, 2020 interview with the venture firm’s partners. The amount and financing stage were not disclosed.

Ascendo subsequently said its first investment in the Taiwan-based booking platform took place in January 2020. The initial investment preceded its participation in FUNNOW’s $15 million Series B in 2021.

FUNNOW provides reservations for restaurants, accommodation and leisure experiences. Its instant-booking service connects consumers with local merchants across Asian cities.
