CarbonM FuelMax wins ₹30 lakh grant for waste-to-fuel technology

CarbonM FuelMax received a ₹30 lakh grant at the FICCI–Mercedes-Benz India Bharat Innovation & Business Ideas Challenge finale on February 13, 2026. The award backs a venture developing fuel and industrial feedstock from non-recyclable plastic.

Founded by Mihir Tomar, CarbonM works on upgrading waste-derived pyrolysis oil for industrial applications. Its university has highlighted plant-floor validation and industrial trials as milestones in moving the technology beyond the laboratory.
