GHGSat receives convertible note investment from ME Innovation Fund, MUFG Bank and Climate Investment

The Canadian emissions monitoring company adds backing from three investors as it develops facility-level greenhouse gas data services.

GHGSat has received investment through convertible notes from ME Innovation Fund, MUFG Bank and Climate Investment. A public announcement on 6 November 2026 said the investments were completed in October. The amount was not disclosed.

Mitsubishi Electric participated through ME Innovation Fund, which it co-manages with Global Brain. The investment builds on collaboration among Mitsubishi Electric, MUFG Bank and GHGSat around the use of satellite data to visualise greenhouse gas emissions.

GHGSat combines satellite and aircraft sensors with analytics to measure emissions at individual industrial facilities. This gives operators and financial institutions independent data for identifying leaks, understanding emissions and assessing environmental exposure.
