Yunige secures equity backing for overseas brands entering Japan
Brand New Retail Initiative Fund backs the Osaka company’s ecommerce, AI buying and distribution plans.
Yunige has raised an undisclosed amount through a third-party share allotment to Brand New Retail Initiative Fund, effective 8 October 2026. The company announced the financing on 4 November.
The Osaka business helps overseas brands enter Japan through regulatory and import support, logistics, warehousing, marketing and sales services. It plans to invest in TRASY, a consumer sales and gifting platform, and an AI buyer system designed to match products to individual retailers.
The funding also supports development of YUNIGE CONNECT, its logistics, inventory and sales-management platform. Yunige plans to add market-research capabilities and prepare a store and franchise model, with direct stores in Tokyo and Osaka planned for 2027.
Brand New Retail Initiative Fund is managed by Innoh Associates, with Edion as a limited partner. The fund subscribed for Yunige’s shares; the release did not disclose the investment amount.
