YK-Robotics closes €1m seed for natural-language robotic cells
Draper B1 and First Drop co-led the round, backing a Spanish rollout, a larger partner network and product development at the robotics software company.
Seed capital for deployment in Spain
YK-Robotics has closed a €1 million seed round co-led by Draper B1 and First Drop. Participants include BStartup Banco Sabadell, Coben Ventures, Elephant Capital and Plug and Play Ventures.
The company will use the funding to deploy more robotic cells in Spain and expand its partner network, initially focusing on Catalonia, Valencia, Aragon and the Basque Country. It also plans to grow its team, mainly in Barcelona.
Programming cells with words
Product development will extend natural-language operation across YK-Platform, including support for diagnosing and resolving incidents. The software translates a user’s process requirements into coordination across robots, cameras, grippers and other equipment. YK-Robotics supplies both the platform and turnkey cells, giving the commercial rollout a route through manufacturers and integrators.
