Windfall Energy receives £60,000 BGV programme investment
Windfall Energy joined BGV’s Spring 2025 cohort with £60,000 programme backing for compact home energy products.
Windfall Energy joined Bethnal Green Ventures’ Spring 2025 Tech for Good cohort, announced on 24 March 2025. The programme offered a £60,000 investment to each selected business.
The company was working on smart plugs and compact batteries intended to help renters and people in smaller homes shift electricity use towards periods of greater renewable generation.
The design addressed households that could not make permanent changes to their property. Shifting when electricity is used was intended to make renewable energy more accessible to renters and residents of flats.
