Deutsche Bank and Rabobank underwrite a framework covering multiple battery storage facilities.
Return announced EUR835 million in portfolio debt financing on November 4, 2026, underwritten by Deutsche Bank and Rabobank. The framework combines financing for physical battery assets with capacity supporting the company’s Virtual Flexibility Portfolio.
The initial portfolio covers three German battery projects with a combined 117 MW of capacity. Additional eligible projects can use the framework as they progress towards financial close. Return aims to install at least 1 GW of German battery capacity annually from 2027, subject to market conditions.
