Sunrise raises CNY2bn for AI inference chips
The Chinese GPU developer adds funding after its April round as it builds chips and systems for running AI models.
Sunrise raised CNY2 billion in equity financing, according to an August 28, 2026 report by Caixin. Reported participants included Janchor Partners, CCB Equity Investment Management and Cowin Capital. The financing valued the company at CNY20 billion.
The company develops GPUs for AI inference, together with computing cards, servers and its SIRE software stack. It grew out of SenseTime’s chip operations and became independent at the end of 2024. The August financing follows a separate round of more than CNY1 billion announced in April.
