Sunrise attracts Series A backing for inference GPU production
Soul Capital and 4Paradigm backed the Chinese chip company as it funded next-generation inference GPUs, production and its computing ecosystem.
Sunrise disclosed financing on January 22, 2026, with Soul Capital and 4Paradigm among the backers of its Series A funding. The individual round amount was not separately disclosed.
The company said the proceeds would support next-generation inference GPU development, mass production and ecosystem building. Sunrise designs chips and computing systems for running AI models, a business that grew out of SenseTime’s chip operations.
The January announcement also put financing completed over the preceding year at nearly RMB3 billion across multiple rounds. That cumulative figure covers a broader financing history and is separate from the undisclosed amount attributable to this Series A.
