Spectronix secures venture debt from UntroD for laser production
UntroD Real Tech Debt Fund provided a bridge loan to support the Japanese laser developer as it advances mass-production technology.
Spectronix has received a venture-debt loan from UntroD Real Tech Debt Fund to support the development of mass-production technology for its deep-ultraviolet picosecond lasers. The lender announced the financing on August 31, 2026; the loan amount was not disclosed.
Bridging development and manufacturing
The Osaka-based company produces laser sources used for precision processing in semiconductor and electronic-material manufacturing. Its LD-GS approach generates very short pulses directly from a semiconductor laser, providing a tool for the increasingly fine processing required in advanced chip packaging.
Spectronix said the debt would help it continue production-technology development supported by NEDO while it pursued Series F equity financing. The loan therefore provides an additional source of capital during the move toward manufacturing scale.
The lender is a dedicated venture-debt fund managed by UntroD Capital Japan. It identified Spectronix as its second investment, describing the loan as a bridge for a company supplying key equipment technology to the semiconductor industry.
