Sonexos raises CHF 5m Pre-Series A for plasma-based noise control

Valquest Partners led the equity financing, with Bosch Ventures participating as Sonexos prepares its technology for industrial products.

Sonexos announced CHF 5 million in new equity financing on 21 October 2026, in a Pre-Series A round led by Valquest Partners. Bosch Ventures, industry angels and private investors also participated. Valquest founder and managing partner Fadi Noureddine is joining the company’s board.

The Swiss company will use the financing to move its plasma-based noise-control technology from engineered prototypes toward qualified industrial products. It is conducting paid integration programmes with appliance and HVAC manufacturers, with its most advanced projects targeting series production in early 2028, subject to integration and regulatory requirements.

Sonexos’ EPFL-licensed Plasmacoustic Metalayer uses a software-controlled plasma layer to absorb low-frequency sound. The thin system has no moving parts and is intended for applications where conventional noise insulation can become bulky or obstruct airflow. The company is also developing silencing systems for data-centre cooling fans.
