Skeleton announces Siemens-led investment of more than $100m

The strategic deal values the power-systems maker above $1bn and gives Siemens exclusive global sales rights in the data-center market.

Capital comes with a route to customers

Skeleton Technologies announced the investment on 14 October. The company confirmed to Bloomberg that the financing exceeded $100m without giving an exact figure. Its own announcement described a nine-digit round led by Siemens.

Alongside the investment, Siemens gains exclusive worldwide rights to sell and scale Skeleton products for data centers. It plans to integrate the company’s supercapacitor technology into its electrical infrastructure offering, extending from utility connections to AI racks. For Skeleton, the agreement pairs capital with an established supplier’s customer relationships.

A deeper industrial partnership

Siemens has worked with Skeleton as a technology partner since 2022 and invested in 2023. The new arrangement focuses on AI infrastructure, where rapidly changing processor loads create demand for fast-response power equipment.

Skeleton separately outlined plans for more than $200m in operational expansion and research spending. That planned expenditure is distinct from the disclosed investment threshold. Siemens said completion remained subject to customary formalities, so the announcement does not establish an unconditional closing date.
