Quint Computing discloses €2.2m EIC Pathfinder grant

The superconducting quantum computing company announced the grant separately from its €9.1m equity financing on November 3.

Quint Computing disclosed a €2.2 million Pathfinder grant from the European Innovation Council on November 3. The company said it had been awarded the grant, alongside the announcement of its first equity financing.

The Erlangen company develops superconducting quantum processors designed to suppress errors directly in hardware. Reducing the errors that need correction could lower the number of physical components required to build useful, fault-tolerant quantum computers.

Quint emerged from research at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and is part of the Munich Quantum Valley ecosystem. Its roadmap combines chip design, fabrication and error correction with work toward industrial deployment.
