Plesh raises €3.75m with Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué

The two investors join the chocolate-snack company as partners to support growth in Spain and abroad.

Barcelona-based Plesh closed a €3.75 million funding round led by streamer Ibai Llanos and former footballer Gerard Piqué. The investors are joining the business as partners and cofounders, with roles in building the brand.

The capital will support expansion in Spain and the company’s first steps into international markets. CEO Jaume Betrian said the aim is to bring the same approach to brand building that Plesh applies to its products.

Plesh sells chocolate-coated almonds and crunchy protein bites with no added sugar. Its recipes use a blend of plant fibres called ZeroUp and a small amount of stevia to provide sweetness and texture.
