CHOSEN raises Series A extension from Wellbeing Nutrition founders
Avnish Chhabria and Saurabh Kapoor invest personally as the skincare company expands research.
CHOSEN has raised an undisclosed extension to its Series A from Avnish Chhabria and Saurabh Kapoor, the founders of Wellbeing Nutrition. The Chennai skincare company announced the investment on 28 October.
Formulations and clinical research
The funding will support research into topical skincare and nutraceuticals, with an emphasis on clinical validation. CHOSEN also plans a Centre of Excellence involving dermatologists in product development, alongside research, brand and growth hiring.
Founded by dermatologist Renita Rajan, CHOSEN makes products for melanin-rich skin. The extension follows a separate $5 million Series A announced in May; that earlier amount is not the size of this investment.
