Phonemia joins the autumn 2025 cohort with equity-free support for beatboxing-based speech practice.
Phonemia joined Level 1 of the Future of Health Grant in the autumn 2025 cohort announced on September 9. The French company receives equity-free programme support and coaching; its individual allocation was not disclosed.
The company uses beatboxing and rhythm to help children practise speech sounds. Its exercises turn breathing, articulation and coordinated mouth movements into activities that therapists can use in sessions and families can continue at home.
The cohort announcement described Phonemia’s use of AI alongside human beatboxing and hip-hop. The programme’s healthcare network and new European accelerator partnerships give the team routes to develop and test its approach with professional partners.
