Mosqitter wins $20,000 grand prize at IT Arena 2021
The Kyiv startup took first place with a mosquito-control device designed for outdoor spaces.
Mosqitter won the Best Startup award and a $20,000 cash prize at the IT Arena Startup Competition final in Lviv on October 9, 2021.
The team builds mosquito traps that use heat, scent and carbon dioxide to attract insects. The approach aims to provide outdoor mosquito control without conventional insecticide spraying.
The competition gave the company a platform to demonstrate its hardware to investors and partners. Organizers selected 30 semifinalists from 115 applicants, with ten teams pitching in the final.
