Moffett AI raises nearly CNY1 billion Series C for SparsePrime rollout
The chip developer plans to fund accelerator production, commercialisation and expansion of its regional computing network.
Moffett AI announced a Series C round of nearly CNY1 billion on May 28, 2026. Participants included Shenzhen Capital Group, Shanghai Stonehill Technology, Leading Capital and Yunsheng Capital, with existing investors Keytone Ventures, Creation Venture Partners and SJ Jiacheng also backing the round. The company also named GBA Homeland among the participants.
The capital was earmarked for production and commercialisation of its SparsePrime accelerator card and expansion of its computing network across China. The card uses Moffett’s Antoum 2.0 architecture and targets AI inference in computing centres and data centres.
At the time of the announcement, the company described deployments across northwestern, southwestern, eastern and northern China. Its strategy pairs sparse-computing hardware with software and local computing infrastructure to serve workloads including industrial image analysis and life-sciences computing.
