LEAP India raises INR371.3 crore before its IPO

A private equity placement supports debt repayment and purchases of reusable logistics assets.

LEAP India has raised INR371.3 crore through a pre-IPO private placement, Entrackr reported on August 6, citing a company advertisement. Gamnat Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of GIC, led the financing.

Gamnat invested INR280 crore. Named participants also included Dymon Asia Multi-Strategy Investment (Singapore), with INR50 crore, and Matyas Possessiones Private Limited, with INR23 crore.

The company plans to repay borrowings, buy pallets, crates and intermediate bulk containers, and fund general corporate purposes. Its asset pooling model gives customers access to reusable equipment across storage and transportation operations.

This placement is separate from the planned public offering, which includes a fresh share issue and sales by existing shareholders. The INR371.3 crore reported here represents the private financing.
