Innovation Norway offers NOK3m credit guarantee to Hydrokraft
The April 2020 guarantee supported the Norwegian data-centre company that later became Nscale AS.
Innovation Norway approved a NOK3 million national credit guarantee for Hydrokraft AS on April 6, 2020. The commitment provided credit support through a guarantee rather than a direct cash investment or grant. The underlying borrowing amount and terms were not disclosed.
Hydrokraft changed its name to Nscale AS in September 2023. The Norwegian company owns the Glomfjord data-centre subsidiary that became part of Nscale’s wider infrastructure business. The guarantee offer belongs to that earlier Norwegian operation; its NOK3 million ceiling represents the approved guarantee exposure, rather than loan proceeds paid to the company.
