Human Physical Intelligence receives ¥10 million startup loan

Japan Finance Corporation backs development and commercialisation of assist suits and physical AI for care settings.

Human Physical Intelligence has received a ¥10 million loan from Japan Finance Corporation’s Yahata branch under its new business and startup support programme. The Japanese company announced the financing on 6 November 2026.

The loan will strengthen the company’s operating foundation as it develops assist suits and physical AI systems. Its work draws on Kyushu Institute of Technology research and collaboration with care providers to test how wearable assistance can fit into everyday work.

The company plans to improve prototypes, validate deployment and operating models, and work toward paid trials and commercial products. The financing supports both research and the practical work required to bring the equipment into continued use.
