CrossSense wins £1m Longitude Prize on Dementia

CrossSense won the £1m Longitude Prize on Dementia for its AI companion for smart glasses.

CrossSense won the £1 million Longitude Prize on Dementia on 18 March 2026. The award supports an AI companion designed to help people living with dementia carry out everyday activities independently.

Its Wispy assistant uses smart glasses to provide prompts and guidance during tasks such as preparing a drink or communicating with relatives. CrossSense plans a UK home pilot and commercial availability in early 2027.

The prize is funded by Alzheimer's Society and Innovate UK and delivered by Challenge Works. CrossSense says the award will support product development and preparation for commercial availability.
