Captura closes $12.5m Series B first tranche for electrodialysis manufacturing
Equinor Ventures leads financing to expand Captura’s U.S. membrane and electrodialysis production.
Captura announced a $12.5 million first close of its Series B on June 25, 2026, led by Equinor Ventures. The financing will expand manufacturing of membranes and electrodialysis stacks at its Pasadena facility.
Other participants include Aramco Ventures, EDP Ventures, Eni Next, Freeflow Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Japan Airlines & TransLink Innovation Fund, L.P., Maersk Growth, mTerra Ventures and National Grid Partners.
Captura’s systems produce acid and base streams for ocean carbon removal and industrial processes. The company has secured its first purchase orders for stacks used in lithium extraction, extending the platform beyond its original carbon-removal application. The new capital will increase polymer, membrane and stack production capacity.
