calliora raises $6m pre-seed for hospital billing workflows

Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments and Redalpine co-lead funding for the Munich hospital software company.

calliora announced a $6 million pre-seed round on 6 October 2026, co-led by Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments and Redalpine. Ulrich Wandschneider, Peter Sarlin and Frank Hutter also participated.

The Munich company connects clinical documentation, coding and audit workflows to identify problems before hospital invoices reach insurers. Its platform flags missing evidence and uncoded diagnoses while hospital staff retain final approval.

The financing will expand its AI, engineering and product teams. Founded by Frederik Träuble and Jonas Wildberger, calliora serves private, public and church-run hospitals across five German states.
