Vera Health announces $28.5m Series A for clinical evidence search
Threshold Ventures led the round, bringing the clinical AI company’s total funding to $32m.
Series A and international expansion
Vera Health has announced a $28.5 million Series A led by Threshold Ventures, with Mantis VC and SV Angel participating. Existing backers Y Combinator and Gradient also increased their investment. The round takes total funding to $32 million.
The company will invest in its clinical evidence infrastructure, expand into more healthcare markets and deepen partnerships with medical societies, publishers and health systems.
Putting research behind clinical answers
Vera helps healthcare professionals search and assess medical evidence. Its platform retrieves research before generating an answer, links statements to sources and indicates the strength of the evidence.
The San Francisco company plans to keep the service free for licensed clinicians and medical trainees. It is also developing closer integration with health systems and their local clinical protocols.
