XR Therapeutics receives Innovate UK backing for PTSD therapy research
Innovate UK named XR Therapeutics among projects funded through its Mindset programme for immersive mental health technology.
Innovate UK named XR Therapeutics among the funded leads in its Mindset programme announcement on 11 September 2025. The company's project explores extended reality for post-traumatic stress disorder.
The research combines immersive environments with approaches including eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing and trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy. XR Therapeutics also develops Boundless, software that lets clinicians guide and adjust simulations of situations patients find difficult.
UKRI announced more than £3.6 million across 17 business-led projects. It did not disclose the allocation to XR Therapeutics.
