Viridian Ingni Propulsion received a SIPCOT Industrial Innovation and Scale-up Grant, founder Sriram Gopal announced on 27 June 2024. The company was one of 14 startups selected for the programme. The individual award amount was not disclosed.

The Chennai company develops electric motors and controllers for vehicle manufacturers, with a focus on rare-earth-free and magnet-free designs. It operates from IIT Madras Research Park and combines local engineering with manufacturing and aftermarket support.
